Care Instructions
How to care for your silk pillowcase
Silk is one of nature’s strongest yet most delicate fibers. To preserve its luxurious touch and natural shine, your silk pillowcase needs gentle care. With the right attention, it will remain smooth, soft, and beautiful for years.
Washing your silk pillowcase
Your silk pillowcase can be safely washed in the machine on a delicate cycle at 30°C (86°F). Always use a mild detergent made for silk, with a neutral pH and no bleach, enzymes, or brighteners.
If possible, place your pillowcase in a protective laundry bag to prevent friction.
Tip: if you don’t have a mesh bag, place it inside a clean cotton pillowcase.
Hand washing (optional)
If you prefer hand washing, use lukewarm water (below 30°C) and move the pillowcase gently through the water. Avoid rubbing or twisting the fabric.
Tip: Add a few drops of white vinegar to the final rinse to restore silk’s natural shine.
Drying
Never wring your silk pillowcase. Instead, gently press out excess water using a towel, then lay flat or hang to dry away from direct sunlight or heat sources.
Avoid tumble drying, as high heat damages silk fibers.
Ironing
If needed, iron on the lowest temperature while the silk is still slightly damp. Turn the pillowcase inside out and use gentle strokes without pressing too hard. Avoid steam and never spray water directly onto the fabric.
Avoid these
