About our products
What are our pillowcases made of?
Our pillowcases are crafted from 100% pure mulberry silk — no blends, no synthetics, just natural silk in its softest form.
Why choose silk?
Silk is more than just luxury — it’s comfort with purpose.
- Recommended by stylists for smoother, shinier, frizz-free hair.
- Naturally less absorbent than cotton, helping your skin stay hydrated overnight.
- Hypoallergenic and gentle for sensitive skin.
- Temperature-regulating — keeps you cool in summer and cozy in winter.
- Perfect for sleep masks and pillowcases that care for delicate skin.
What is Momme (mm)?
“Momme” measures the weight and density of silk — similar to thread count in cotton.
Higher momme = thicker, more durable, and more luxurious silk.
16mm–19mm: soft, lightweight, breathable.
22mm: richer drape, enhanced durability.
At Silk That Sooth, we use 16.5mm and 22mm silk for the ideal balance of softness, shine, and strength.
Is silk natural?
Yes — silk is 100% natural.
It comes from the Bombyx mori silkworm, which spins ultra-fine fibers to form its cocoon.
Each cocoon holds over 1,000 meters of pure silk thread, later woven into the fabric known for its unmatched softness and sheen.
How do I care for my silk products?
Always check the label before washing.
For pillowcases and cushion covers (16.5mm–22mm silk):
- Machine wash cold or at 30° on a delicate cycle.
- Use a mild silk detergent.
- Avoid bleach and tumble dryers.
- Air dry flat — no need to iron (or iron inside out)
